Before you install Collibra DGC

Before you start the installation of Collibra Data Governance Center, follow these steps:

1. Download the installer from the Collibra Downloads page.
   
   • Linux: dgc-linux-5.9.2-2.sh
   • Windows: dgc-windows-5.9.2-2.zip
2. Save the installer on each server that is used to run Collibra DGC.
3. On Linux servers:
   1. Make the installer executable: chmod a+x dgc-linux-5.9.2-2.sh
   2. Set the locale to en_US.UTF8.
   3. Ensure that the user account that will perform the installation or upgrade has execute access on /tmp.
   4. Install PostgreSQL 14.9. If you don't have Internet access, follow the instructions of this article.
4. On Windows, extract the installer ZIP archive.

   Important The target directory to extract the ZIP archive cannot contain spaces.
