Upgrading an on-premises Collibra DGC to 5.9.1

This section describes how to upgrade your on-premises Collibra Data Governance Center to 5.9.1.

A major change in 5.9 requires that you install PostgreSQL 14.9 from your Linux repository as it is not bundled in the Linux installer. This is only applicable for nodes that will run Collibra Console, the Repository service and the Jobserver service.
If you combine one of the mentioned services, you only need one PostgreSQL 14.9 installation.

Important

When you upgrade to 5.9, characteristics of some Catalog-related assets are converted from rich-text format to plain-text format.
Collibra Connect 1.4.x and older are not compatible with Collibra DGC 5.6. Upgrade to Collibra Connect 1.5 or 2.0.
