Exporting

The export functionality makes it easy to transfer data from Collibra to an external file or system.

You can export assets or complex relations to a CSV or XLSX file. The exported file is very similar to the data you view in the table on the screen.

The export takes into account all relevant properties of a table:

Filters: determine which assets are exported.
Columns: determine which information about assets is exported.
Sorting: determines the order in which the assets are exported.

Note Starting with Collibra version 2023.05, to ensure accuracy, especially when re-importing, exported relations use the following column headers:

[Source asset type] role [Target asset type], for example [Business Asset] has acronym [Acronym].
[Target asset type] corole [Source asset type], for example [Acronym] is acronym for [Business Asset].

You can still use existing import templates, but to take advantage of a more accurate mapping, export the latest format with updated relation column headers.
