Set a domain type default view (beta)
Important This topic is applicable only to the latest UI.
You can set a default view for a domain type across communities to provide a consistent experience.
Prerequisites
- Enable the Domain type default view (beta) setting.
- Create and configure the view you want to set as the domain type default view. Ensure that the view is visible to everyone.
- You have a global role with the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, and Search Filters global permission, for example, Sysadmin.
Steps
-
On the main toolbar, click
→
Settings.
The Collibra settings page opens. - Click Operating Model.
The Operating Model settings page opens. - In the tab pane, click Domain Types.
- In the row of the domain type for which you want to set the default view, hover your pointer over the cell, and double click in the Domain Type Default View column.
The Edit... Domain Type Default View dialog box appears. - In the Edit... Domain Type Default View dialog box, select the view you created and configured from the drop-down menu to set it as the default.
- Optional: If a default domain type view exists, you can select the Override currently selected default domain view option to replace it.
- Click Save.
When a view is set as the default view for a domain type, you cannot delete the view or change the Visible To field option again when sharing the view. To change the Visible To field option or delete the view, you must first remove it as the default view.
If you disable the Domain type default view (beta) setting after you set the default domain type view, the default view remains available for all domains of the domain type. However, you cannot remove the default domain type view while the setting is disabled.
