Set a default domain view (beta)

Important This topic is applicable only to the latest UI.

You can set a default view for a domain type across communities to provide a consistent experience.

Prerequisites

• Enable the Domain type default view (beta) setting.
• Ensure that the view you want to set as the default view is visible to everyone.
• You have a global role with the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, and Search Filters global permission, for example, Sysadmin.

Steps

1. On the main toolbar, click , and then click Settings.
   The Collibra settings page opens.
2. Click Operating Model.
   The operating model settings are shown.
3. In the tab pane, click Domain Types.
4. In the row of the domain type for which you want to set the default view, Hover your pointer over the cell, and double click. in the Domain Type Default View column.
   The cell editor appears.
5. Select the view you want to set as the default.
6. Optional: If a default domain view exists, you can select the Override currently selected default domain view option to replace it.
7. Click Save.

What's next?

When a view is set as the default view for a domain type, you cannot change the Visible To field option again when sharing the view.

If you disable the Domain type default view (beta) setting after you set the default domain view, the default view remains available for all domains of the domain type. However, you cannot remove the default view while the setting is disabled. For more information, see Remove a default domain view (beta).
