When you encounter an issue in Data Quality & Observability Classic, the log file and logs within the UI can provide information about events and help you better diagnose any problems. It is a best practice to check the log files first

Whenever you encounter something wrong within the web application, it is good practice to check the log file first.

When you report a problem to Collibra Support, it is recommended to attach the log file(s) to your support ticket.

Depending on the log and log stage, Collibra DQ logs can show you:

  • Errors that have occurred on the server or agent side.
  • Basic information about tasks that are performed.
  • Detailed information about every action that has been performed.
  • The date and time an event occurred.
  • The thread that is executing an action.
  • The log level of the message.

You can find the log files for Collibra DQ under <INSTALL_PATH>/log/.
