About Collibra Console
The Collibra Console is the dedicated administrative interface for managing and maintaining your Collibra environment. It is a standalone web application that operates independently of other Collibra components, using its own local file-based database to store configuration and user information. This separation ensures stability and provides dedicated control over the underlying infrastructure.
The Collibra Console serves as a centralized control point for administrators, offering the following core functionalities:
- Infrastructure management: Monitor the health and status of environments and nodes in your Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) instance.
- Console export files: Create snapshots of your environment and restore them when needed. This provides the option to copy data over or revert to a previous state.
- Diagnostic tools and log access: Access diagnostic files and retrieve log files, such as dgc.log and dgc_jobs.log, for troubleshooting, monitoring system performance, and reviewing process-related information.
- System configuration: Configure system-level settings, including authentication and security settings, such as SSL and SAML metadata files.
- Control UI behavior: Manage frontend features, including the user interface.
- Notifications and user profile management: Access the notification center for system alerts and manage user profiles, including signing out.
The Collibra Console is accessible via a dedicated domain, usually with a console- prefix, and requires separate administrator access rights.
