Create a diagnostic file

Steps

  1. Open Collibra Console.
    Collibra Console opens with the Infrastructure page.
  2. Click the Diagnostic files tab.
  3. Click Create a diagnostic file.
    The Create a diagnostic file dialog box appears.
  4. Enter the required information.
    FieldDescription
    EnvironmentThe environment from which you want to create a diagnostic file.
    NameThe name for the diagnostic file. There are no specific limitations for the file name.
    Select files to includeThe files that you want to include in the diagnostic file.
     Console files
    The logging of the actions in Collibra Console.
     DGC files
    The logging of the DGC service and a Collibra thread dump.
     Repository files
    The logging of the Repository service and the Repository service configuration and metrics.
     Jobserver files
    The logging of the Jobserver service.
     Node files
    The logging of the nodes. These are the most important operating system log files.
     Performance benchmarks

    The performance benchmarks of your environment. These benchmarks will perform certain predefined actions on your environment and create a report of the actions.

    Note This option will slow down your system and will take a few minutes for the diagnostics to be created.

     Monitoring data

    The monitoring data of your environment. This will create a snapshot of the monitoring database.

    You can select this option only if you have installed the Monitoring service.

    Note This option will significantly increase the diagnostic file size.

  5. Click Create a diagnostic file.
    The diagnostic file is created and it appears in the Diagnostic files section of Collibra Console.
