Steps overview: Integrate Tableau via Edge

The following table shows the required steps for integration.

#	Step	Description
1	Review the preflight checks.	Key considerations to help ensure successful integration, including required Edge, technical lineage, and data source-specific permissions, network requirements and more.
2	Set up Tableau.	Before you start the Tableau integration in Data Catalog, make sure that: You have the necessary roles and permissions in Tableau. You've configured the mandatory settings. You've tested your connectivity with the Tableau server. For complete information, go to: Tableau roles, permissions, and mandatory settings Test your connectivity with the Tableau server
3	Optionally, create a new target domain for asset ingestion.	You can choose an existing domain or create a new one.
4	Create a Tableau connection.	Create a connection to allow Collibra Data Lineage to connect to and retrieve metadata from Tableau.
5	Add the Technical Lineage for Tableau capability.	Add the technical lineage capability to your Edge or Collibra Cloud site. The capability allows the lineage harvester to retrieve data from your data source.
6	Synchronize the technical lineage.	You can synchronize your technical lineage manually or automatically by adding a synchronization schedule.
