Customer access to Collibra

You can access Collibra only by going to https://<customer-name>.collibra.com.

Note It's impossible to access the actual servers that contain the data. This also means that you cannot install other services and applications.

You can limit inbound access to a specific IP-range using allowlisting. To enforce this limit, create a ticket on the Collibra support portal.

Allowlisting IP addresses

By default, all source IP addresses on the Internet can reach your environment. Allowlisting is a cybersecurity enhancement that prevents unexpected sources from reaching your Collibra environment.

When allowlisting is enabled for your environments, all source IP addresses are blocked, except for the source IP addresses that you provided in your support ticket.

To avoid interruptions and access issues to your environments, ensure that you provide a comprehensive and validated list of your internal egress IP addresses. These egress IP addresses could include your corporate offices, VPN, integrations and partners; generally any client that should be able to access your environment.

We strongly recommend that you work with your internal departments to identify who needs access, and then apply the allowlisting on your non-production environments. This way, you can validate the list of source IP addresses while mitigating access interruptions to mission-critical or production environments.

IP address format

In your support ticket, provide a comma-separated list of all IP addresses to allow using Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation. The IP addresses should be routable.

Note Addresses in private spaces, such as 10.0.0.0 or 192.168.0.0, are not valid and will be ignored.
