Snowflake Cortex AI is a suite of AI features within the Snowflake platform that lets you build, train, and deploy machine learning models directly in Snowflake. When you integrate Snowflake Cortex AI, you integrate the metadata of your AI models from Snowflake Cortex AI to the Collibra Platform. The resulting assets represent the Snowflake Cortex AI Model.

You can configure Edge connections and capabilities without an active AI Governance license. However, AI Governance must be enabled to harvest AI model metadata, ingest corresponding AI assets in Data Catalog, and access the dashboards and features necessary to visualize and govern your AI landscape.
- You can integrate Snowflake Cortex AI only via Edge, not via Jobserver.
