Steps overview: Google Dataplex ingestion

Note The Google Dataplex ingestion is no longer in active development and will only update for defect fixes. This documentation is scheduled for removal with the 2026.09 release. Consider using the Google Knowledge Catalog integration via Edge instead. If you need this content after removal, it will remain available in the 2026.08 version of the documentation.

You can use the Google Dataplex ingestion to ingest metadata from your Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment into Collibra. This overview outlines the end-to-end workflow, from preparing your GCP environment to synchronizing the metadata for Google Dataplex assets.

No. Step Description
1 Create a GCP connection to your Edge or Collibra Cloud site. Create a connection to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in an Edge or Collibra Cloud site.

2

Add the Google Dataplex Catalog synchronization capability to your Edge or Collibra Cloud site. Add the Google Dataplex Catalog synchronization capability to the GCP Edge connection. The capability allows you to retrieve data from the Google Dataplex projects.
3 Synchronize via Google Dataplex ingestion

You can manually synchronize Google Dataplex or add a synchronization schedule to automatically synchronize it.

After this synchronization, assets become available.
