Create a diagram view

You can create your own diagram views from scratch or from an existing view.

Note The UI may look different if the new diagram canvas is enabled.

Steps

Create a diagram view from scratch

  1. Open the asset page.
  2. Click the Diagram tab.
    The diagram is shown in the default diagram view.
  3. Click .
    The new diagram view is shown.
  4. Edit the diagram view.
  5. Click Save.

Create a diagram view from an existing view

  1. Open the asset page.
  2. Click the Diagram tab.
    The diagram is shown in the default diagram view.
  3. In the View field, select a diagram view.
  4. Click .
    The Save view as dialog box appears.
  5. Enter the required information.
    FieldDescription
    NameThe name to identify the picture or diagram view.
    DescriptionAn optional description for the picture or diagram view.
    Sharing optionsA list of options that determine who can access the picture or diagram view.
     Public
    		Everyone can see the picture or diagram view.
     Private
    		Only you can access the picture or diagram view.
     Share with specific roles, groups & users

    Only the roles, groups, or users you select can access the picture or diagram view.

     Roles
    		Only the roles you select can access the picture or diagram view.
     Groups
    		Only the groups you select can access the picture or diagram view.
     Users
    		Only the users you select can access the picture or diagram view.
    PromoteA list of options that determine how and where the picture or diagram view is shown.
     Default

    Makes the diagram view the default view for the corresponding asset type and all asset types available in the diagram view.

    This option has no effect on pictures.

     Pin

    Pins the picture or diagram view.

    Pinned diagram views appear in the View drop-down list.

    Pinned pictures are identified as such on the Pictures tab.

  6. Edit the diagram view.
  7. Click Save.
