Delete an attribute type

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

You can delete custom attribute types.

Note Certain attribute types are managed by Collibra, meaning they are system-managed and you can't delete them. You can delete only custom attribute types.

Prerequisites

You have a global role that has the Product Rights > System administration global permission.

Steps

  1. On the main toolbar, click Products icon → Cogwheel icon Settings.
    The Settings page opens.
  2. Click the Operating Model tab.
    The Operating Model settings are shown.
  3. In the tab pane, click Attribute types.
  4. In the tab pane, click Characteristics → Attributes.
    The table with attribute types appears.
  5. At the end of the row of the attribute type that you want to delete, click .
    The Delete <attribute type> dialog box appears.
  6. Click Yes.
  7. Click Delete.
