Add attachments

Important

In Collibra 2024.05, we launched a new user interface (UI) for Collibra Platform! You can learn more about this latest UI in the UI overview.

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

You can add files to an asset, domain, or community as attachments.

Before you begin

You have a resource role with the Attachment > Add resource permission on the relevant asset, domain, or community.

Steps

  1. Open a community, domain, or asset page.
  2. In the tab panebar, click Attachments.
  3. In the tab panebar, click Files.
  4. Upload an attachment in one of the following ways:
    • Drag and drop the file in the upload area.
    • Click within the upload area, find the file you want to attach, and click Open.
The attachment is displayed in the table.
  5. Upload a file in one of the following ways:
    • Drag and drop the file in the upload area.
    • Click Upload a file, browse to the location of the file and click Open.
The file is displayed in the table.

Limitations

  • Adding and removing attachments doesn't change assets, so their last modified date will not be updated.
  • Uploading attachments is restricted by the file upload settings. Collibra administrators with access to Collibra Console can manage these settings.
