Reassign a task
You can reassign a task that is assigned to you or that you can access if the workflow definition settings allow you to.
Requirements and permissions

You have a global role with the Participate in workflow global permission.
Note Users that have a global role with the Workflow Administration or System administration permission do not require this permission explicitly.
- You have one of the roles defined in the Reassign tasks definition setting or there is no role defined.
- Any user you reassign the task to must have a global role with the Participate in workflow global permission.
Steps
- Task sidebar enabled
- Task sidebar disabled
- View the task you want to reassign.
- In the upper-right corner of the sidebar, select
→ Reassign.
- Enter the required information.
- Click Reassign task.The workflow continues with the new set of users as candidates for the task.
Note If the task expects one of the newly assigned users to change an attribute, for example, that user needs the permission to do so.
Important This feature isn't available in the latest user interface.
- View the task you want to reassign.
- Start the reassignment:
- From the resource the task is for, at the end of the task bar, click More → Reassign.
- From the Tasks menu, at the bottom of the preview pane, click Reassign.
- Enter the required information in the Reassign task dialog box.
- Click Reassign.The workflow continues with the new set of users as candidates for the task.
Note If the task expects one of the newly assigned users to change an attribute, for example, that user needs the permission to do so.
