Dashboards

A dashboard is a page that provides a high-level overview on the different areas of the product. It contains one or several configurable dashboard widgets that can show text, a shortcut to the search, the organization browser, buttons to start a workflow, and more.

You can create as many dashboards as you want, each with a particular purpose. Dashboards cannot be assigned to a community or any other resource.

Note 
  • The topics in this section assume that the Homepage is disabled. For more information, go to Access a dashboard.
  • In Collibra 2022.11 or newer, the Homepage is enabled by default.
  • In Collibra environments upgraded from 2022.10 or older to 2022.11 or newer, the Homepage is available but disabled by default.
  • In Collibra environments upgraded from 2022.11 to a newer version, the previous status of the Homepage (enabled or disabled) is retained.

Permissions

While you don't need a particular license to manage and share your own dashboards, you need the following global permissions.

Permission With this global permission, you can
Manage your own Views, Dashboards, Search filters Create dashboards or duplicate existing dashboards.
Share your own Views, Dashboards, Search filters Share any of the dashboards that you created or duplicated.
Manage and share anyone's Views, Dashboards, Search filters
  • Create dashboards or duplicate existing dashboards.
  • Edit the properties of any dashboard.
  • Share any dashboard.
  • Delete any dashboard.
