Workflow widget

The Workflow widget enables you to start global workflows from the dashboard via buttons.

Configure the Workflow widget

Important

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

Before you begin

  • To manage your own dashboard: You have a global role that has the Manage Your Own Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.
  • To manage another user's dashboard: You have a global role that has the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.

Steps

  1. Open the widget for configuration:
    1. Open the dashboard for which you want to configure the widget.
    2. Click → Edit widgetsEdit Dashboard.
    3. If needed, drag the widget from the Widgets section to the dashboard.
    4. On the widget, click → Configure.
  2. On the ButtonsWorkflow Buttons tab, enter the required information.

    Field

    		Description

    1Title

    Label for the button.

    • Title: The label for the button.
    • Workflow: The global workflow that starts when the button is clicked.
    • Button: The styling for the button.

    2Workflow

    		Global workflow that you want to start when the button is clicked.

    3Button

    Color for the button, based on the type of workflow. The following values are available for selection:

    • Default: Gray
    • Danger: Red
    • Info: Gray
    • Success: Green
    • Warning: Yellow

    Note This field determines only the color of the button.

  3. On the Widget tab, enter the required information.
  4. Click Save.
