Add an AWS connection to an Edge site
After you created and installed an Edge site, you can create a connection to Amazon Web Services.
Before you begin
You have created and installed an Edge site.
Required permissions
- You have a global role that has the System administration global permission.
- You have a global role with the Manage connections and capabilities global permission, for example Edge integration engineer.
Steps
- Open an Edge site.

On the main menu, click
, and then click
Settings.
The Settings page opens. -
In the tab pane, click Edge.
The Edge sites overview appears. - In the Edge site overview, click the name of an Edge site with the status Healthy.
The Edge site page appears.

On the main menu, click
- In the Connections section, click Create connection.
The Create connection page appears. - Enter the required information.

This section contains the general settings of your connection.
NameThe name of the Edge AWS connection.

Connection providerThe connection provider, which determines the available connection parameters.
Select the AWS connection to connect to Amazon S3.

This section contains the settings to connect to your data source. Access Key IDThe access key ID of the programmatic AWS user.

Encryption optionsSelect the type of encryption used to store the Secret Access Key.

Your connection to AWS does not require any additional parameters.
Delete the existing blank property.

- Click Create.
The connection is added to the Edge site.
The fields become read-only.
