Before you install Collibra DGC

Before you start the installation of Collibra Data Governance Center, follow these steps:

1. Download the installer from the Collibra Downloads page.
   
   • Linux: dgc-linux-5.8.1-0.sh
   • Windows: dgc-windows-5.8.1-0.zip
2. Save the installer on each server that is used to run Collibra DGC.
3. On Linux servers:
   1. Make the installer executable: chmod a+x dgc-linux-5.8.1-0.sh
   2. Set the locale to en_US.UTF8.
   3. Ensure that the user account that will perform the installation or upgrade has execute access on /tmp.
   4. Install PostgreSQL 11.
4. On Windows, extract the installer ZIP archive.

   Important The target directory to extract the ZIP archive cannot contain spaces.
