Enable or disable asynchronous indexing

Asynchronous indexing helps ensure optimal performance of your environment while Collibra is indexing changes.

Prerequisites

You have the ADMIN or SUPER role in Collibra Console.
You have a global role that has the System administration global permission.
Services Configuration in the Collibra settings is enabled.

Enable asynchronous indexing

1. Open the Services Configuration page.

   1. In the main menu, click , then Settings.
      The Collibra settings page opens.
   2. In the tab pane, click Services Configuration.

   Open the DGC service settings for editing:

   1. Open Collibra Console.
      Collibra Console opens with the Infrastructure page.
   2. In the tab pane, expand an environment to show its services.
   3. In the tab pane, click the Data Governance Center service of that environment.
   4. Click Configuration.
   5. Click Edit configuration.
1. In the Beta Features section, set the Asynchronous Indexing field to True.
2. Click the green Save all button.
3. Restart the environment to apply your changes. See Stop an environment and Start an environment.
4. If you know that this is not the first time that this feature has been enabled for your Collibra environment, or you aren't sure, we highly recommend that you Reindexing Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud your environment.

What's next?

Optionally, you can edit the asynchronous indexing default settings to suit your needs.

Disable asynchronous indexing

1. Open the Services Configuration page.

   1. In the main menu, click , then Settings.
      The Collibra settings page opens.
   2. In the tab pane, click Services Configuration.

      Collibra Console opens with the Infrastructure page.

   3. In the tab pane, click the Data Governance Center service of that environment.
   4. Click Configuration.
   5. Click Edit configuration.
1. In the Beta Features section, set the Asynchronous Indexing field to False.
2. Click the green Save all button.
3. Restart the environment to apply your changes. See Stop an environment and Start an environment.
